The Kosciuszko is the world’s richest race for country-trained horses, carrying $2 million in prizemoney. Every horse in the race is nominated by a winner of the Kosciuszko sweepstakes who share in the prizemoney of their nominated horse. $5 tickets in the Kosciuszko sweepstakes were available for sale through the TAB App, tab.com.au, your local Pub, Club and at Race Meetings. Ticket sales and registration is now closed.
The Kosciuszko race is a 1200 metre sprint contest run under set weights and penalties conditions on the same day as The TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on Saturday 18 October 2025. The race is restricted to NSW country and ACT trained horses only.

Members of the public could buy $5 sweepstake tickets to win one of the 14 slots for The Kosciuszko race.
Entry is open to NSW residents only.

Tickets could be purchased via the TAB App, tab.com.au, Pubs, Clubs, and Race Meetings. Tickets purchased from a TAB outlet require online registration. Tickets purchased via TAB App or tab.com.au were automatically registered.

14 winning tickets were drawn on 11 September. Winners will choose a NSW country or ACT trained horse for the race, agreeing with the horse's owners on a share of the prize money.

If you purchased a ticket from a TAB outlet, online registration is required.
If you purchased your ticket via your TAB App there is no need to register as your details are automatically registered.​
